Photo shoot planning document - in the dance studio

Photo shoot planning document

Date and time of photo shoot: 23/01/13

Material to be shot:

Picture of Darrien in the studio in the process of teaching student.

What personnel do you need?

Lighting assistant: N/A
Makeup assistant: N/A
Models: 2 – Darrien Wright and Amalia Britton (student)

What props will you need?

N/A

Describe in detail your make-up & costume needs. (Include reference material)

Darrien – should wear normal teaching clothes, preferably with no visible brands, pictures or designs on them, and simple clothes like a vest and joggers, as this is what most dance teachers wear, and therefore recognisable as a dancer/dance teacher, and will show lines clearly enough also.  Preferably black to look sophisticated and professional and avoid clashing with other colours in the article, or perhaps blue to match the rest of the article and enforce male connotations.
Student – normal dance clothes but again with no brands, or extravagant designs or colours, so not to clash with the article. Simple clothes like a vest/t-shirt/sports bra/leotard with leggings/shorts to look professional and to show lines well. Slightly more flexible as they are younger and it is not a problem if their clothes show this.

Studio shoots: what kind of lighting?
(include reference material to illustrate your needs)

N/A due to setting.

Backdrop:

Background will be the studio walls windows or mirrors, which will show that it’s a dance studio, but must be clear and have no distractions that will take focus away from the main subject or look messy.
